2022The Beijing Winter Olympics has officially opened.Shanghai University of Technology uses technology to help the research and development of artificial snow making machines at the Beijing Winter Olympics.With the support of the national key R&D project "Research and Development and Application Demonstration of High-Efficiency Intelligent Snow Maker in Multi-regional Climate Conditions", Dr. Zhao Wei, a research on the multiphase change mechanism and snow formation conditions of the snow formation process over the past year, the study of the multiphase change laws of gas-liquid mixture-atomized water droplets-snow crystal-snowflakes, the intrinsic link between mixing-atomized-nucleation-snow-forming behavior, and the coupling influence law of regional climatic conditions, operational regulation parameters, structure and surface characteristics on snow formation quality.

In terms of experiments, in view of the climatic conditions and operating parameters of artificial snow-making in multiple regions, multiple operating parameters, multiple internal mixed nuclear snow-making experiments were conducted, and the shape and particle size distribution characteristics of snow crystals were tested, and the changes of nuclear snow-making conditions, snow-making quality, snow crystal morphology and particle size distribution with regional climatic conditions and operating parameters were analyzed, providing experimental data support for the optimization of gas-water ratio allocation of the nuclear snow-making machine nuclear device.
